Volcan De Mi Tierra Tequila XA Reposado 80 Luminous begins its journey with hand-selected blue agave plants cultivated in the mineral-rich soils surrounding the Tequila Volcano. After harvesting, the agaves are slow-roasted in traditional brick ovens, allowing their natural flavors to develop and intensify.

Once distilled, this exceptional tequila is aged for a minimum of 80 months in oak barrels, imparting a rich complexity and depth of flavor. During this maturation process, the tequila takes on the unique characteristics of the wood, resulting in notes of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak.

Bright and clear, with strawlike undertones. Ultra smooth with a long finish – a reposado (aged) base brings the right level of sweetness and smoothness, while añejo (extra-aged) and extra-añejo (ultra-aged) tequilas add aromatic balance and complexity.

History and innovation are infused with authenticity in a distinctive distilling process that pave the way to a new area in tequila. For the lowlands agave, it is the horno (traditional outdoor oven) for cooking of the agave that is used, the tahonafor milling and fermentation then takes place in wooden tanks.

These are combined with modern processes, utilizing the autoclave (pressure cooker oven) for cooking of the highlands agave, multistage mills for milling and we use copper pot and stainless steel stills for our distillation. Volcan de mi Tierra is unique in that they own their own distillery and the NOM 1523, is truly a guarantee of quality and credibility.
