Distillery Information

Don Julio 70 Crystal Añejo embodies the rich complexity of a traditional Añejo in a liquid that is twice distilled and aged to perfection for 18 months in American white oak barrels, then carefully charcoal filtered to restore the crisp agave flavor found in Blanco Tequila.
This product is a blend of their Anejo tequilas, aged a minimum of 25 months in barrels that previously held Jack Daniel's, Old Forester, or Woodford Reserve, and a touch of agave nectar for sweetness. The final blend is filtered to remove the color and enhance the smoothness and bottled at 80 proof (40 % ABV).Aged in American white-oak barrels for 18 months, the bright and lightly spiced finish of our luxury tequila is made with 100% Blue Weber Agave and is ready for any celebration. Don Julio was named One of the Top Trending Tequilas at the 2020 Drinks International awards.
It is distilled, manufactured and bottled by Tequila Don Julio, S.A. de C.V. from its corporate facility in the Colonia El Chichimeco district, in the city of Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico.
This tequila was launched in 2011/2012 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Don Julio Gonzales' entry into the world of tequila (and not because it's a 70-year-old aged tequila). At the time, filtered, colorless aged tequilas were a rarity on the market and generally prohibitively expensive.Cristalino, which means “crystalline” in Spanish, is oak-aged Tequila that's filtered with charcoal. It's generally crystal clear, as the name suggests, although some have faint tinges of color. The process is akin to many white rums, which can also be barrel-aged and have the color filtered out.Don Julio 70 Anejo Claro is aged eighteen months in American white-oak barrels and then carefully filtered to bring out its crisp agave flavor.
