Introducing Maker's Mark 46 Bourbon Whiskey – a masterpiece of craftsmanship and innovation that elevates the art of bourbon to new heights. Born from the storied traditions of the Maker's Mark Distillery, Maker's Mark 46 is a bold and distinct expression that pushes the boundaries of flavor, setting a new standard for connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, Maker's Mark 46 begins with the signature Maker's Mark bourbon, known for its rich, full-bodied character and iconic red wax seal. What sets Maker's Mark 46 apart is the additional aging process that takes place using French oak staves. These carefully chosen staves, selected for their unique wood characteristics, are inserted into the barrels, allowing the bourbon to undergo a secondary maturation.

The result is an exceptional bourbon that boasts a deep amber hue and a complex flavor profile. On the nose, Maker's Mark 46 entices with the warm embrace of vanilla and caramel, complemented by hints of dried fruit and subtle oak. The first sip reveals a luscious blend of sweetness, with notes of toffee, spice, and a touch of dark chocolate, creating a symphony of flavors that dance on the palate.

Smooth and well-balanced, Maker's Mark 46 finishes with a lingering warmth, leaving behind a satisfying trail of cinnamon and oak. This bourbon is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks, allowing its intricate layers to unfold and be savored sip by sip.

Whether you're a seasoned bourbon aficionado or a newcomer to the world of fine spirits, Maker's Mark 46 Bourbon Whiskey promises an extraordinary tasting experience that embodies the artistry and dedication of the Maker's Mark legacy. Elevate your bourbon collection with Maker's Mark 46 – where tradition meets innovation in every sip.

Distillery Information

Maker's Mark is a small-batch bourbon whiskey produced in Loretto, Kentucky, by Beam Suntory. It is bottled at 90 U.S. proof (45% alcohol by volume) and sold in squarish bottles sealed with red wax. The distillery offers tours, and is part of the American Whiskey Trail and the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
Maker's Mark 46® is the recipe of Bill Samuels Jr., son of founders Bill and Margie, and the first new major expression since classic Maker's® was released in 1958. Maker's 46® is aged longer with special seared French oak staves. With subtly layered bourbon notes and balanced complexity.
Then, ten heavily seared French oak staves are placed in just-emptied standard Maker's Mark barrels, which are then refilled and returned to the warehouses to finish aging for an undisclosed amount of time (estimated to be 2-3 additional months).Maker's Mark Distillery | Visit Us in Loretto, KY | Maker's Mark.
Maker's Mark® began with one family's quest to create a bourbon they enjoyed drinking and sharing with friends. As the world's first premium bourbon, it changed the industry in 1953.
It starts with fully matured Maker's Mark straight out of the barrel. But then it takes a bold twist. We add seared French Oak staves to the barrel, and then finish it a bit longer in our cool aging cellar.
Maker's 46, which was the company's first addition to its regular lineup, is basically Maker's Mark (wheated bourbon aged 6 to 6.5 years) with an additional 10 weeks of aging with 10 “seared” French Oak barrel staves inserted into the casks, and bottled at an extra 2% ABV (at 47%)
