Distillery Information

Tequila Avión is produced in Jalisco, Mexico, from the Agave grown at the highest elevations. Tequila Avión won multiple awards in the 2011 and 2012 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Light and smooth CaliFino Reposado is made with 100% Blue Weber agave and aged for 12 months in American Oak. It's a light-amber, golden color and smells fresh and oaky from the barrel. Ideal neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails, you'll get notes of vanilla and buttery spice with a creamy honey finish.
The creation of Avion begins in Jesús María, highlands of Jalisco, where the characteristically sweet roasted agave flavor is preserved in every sip.
Founded 2010 by Ken Austin, Avión has worked with the Lopez family, agave growers from Jesus Maria, Mexico for multiple generations. Avión has been able to create a single-origin and 100 percent natural tequila with superior taste.
Tequila reposado is most commonly rested in American and French oak barrels. Reposado must be aged for at least two months but no longer than 364 days.Reposado means “rested” in Spanish, and reposados rest anywhere from two months to a year before they are bottled. Reposados take on the gold hue from the barrels in which they are aged. They are typically aged in oak or white oak barrels, and the type of barrel changes the flavor of each distillery's tequila.
Reposado tequila is a classification that indicates that the drink has undergone a maturation process of at least two months in oak or oak barrels. This process gives the tequila a very mild flavor, aroma, and pale color. It is a more elaborate variety than the young gold or the white silver.
