London dry gin is made by double distilling grain, with select botanicals added during the second distillation. While the Tanqueray recipe is a closely guarded trade secret, it is known to contain four botanicals: juniper, coriander, angelica root, and liquorice, all common botanicals in gin productions overall.

His ingenious pursuit for perfection paid off, creating Tanqueray London Dry, a perfectly balanced gin and one of the most awarded gins in the world.
All London Dry gins are distilled gins, but not all distilled gins are London Drys. Both are the product of double distilling, but that is where the similarities end. The process for London Dry involves the maceration of natural botanicals in a 96% ABV neutral spirit from agricultural origin (usually grain based).
TEN Gin is distilled four times with Tanqueray's standard gin botanicals of refreshing juniper, peppery coriander, aromatic angelica and sweet liquorice. Whole citrus fruits, including limes, oranges and pink grapefruit are then added with chamomile flowers to Tiny Ten, the still from which the liquid gets its name.
