Where It’s Made – The Osumi Distillery, Kagoshima
Haku Vodka begins its journey at the Osumi Distillery in Kagoshima Prefecture, Kyushu, an area celebrated for its long tradition of rice spirits. The vodka is crafted from 100% Japanese white rice, fermented with rice koji, then distilled first in pot stills and a second time through both pot and column stills to achieve purity and character.

Bamboo Charcoal Filtration – Osaka
After distillation, the spirit is blended and filtered through bamboo charcoal at Suntory’s Liquor Atelier in Osaka. This proprietary method not only refines the vodka but also imparts a silky, mellow texture that defines Haku’s smoothness.

Craft Philosophy
The name “Haku” means “white” in Japanese, symbolizing purity and brilliance. It reflects both the vodka’s rice origins and the Japanese philosophy of monozukuri, where every stage of production—from rice milling to charcoal filtration—is carried out with precision and care.
