Distillery Information

It is an initiative started in 2020 by Varun Jain and headquartered in New Delhi, India. It houses three products of the SMOKE brand namely, the SMOKE Vodka, SMOKE Wear and SMOKE Water. SMOKE as a brand is owned by the NV Group which started in 2019 with the launch of their new-age premium vodka range named the same.
Vodka is one of the most basic neutral spirits and a key ingredient in many classic cocktails. While vodka is produced worldwide, the spirit is still closely related to distilleries in “vodka belt” countries like Russia, Poland, Sweden, and Finland.Traditionally, it is made by distilling liquid from fermented cereal grains, and potatoes since introduced in Europe in the 1700s. Some modern brands use corn, sugar cane, fruits, honey, and maple sap as the base.
Smoke Lab Vodka is India's first Premium Vodka made by one of the world's largest and most respected spirits producers. Smoke Lab Classic is a rice vodka made from the finest quality, locally sourced Basmati Rice and Pure Himalayan spring water. Smoke Lab Aniseed is an expression of the much-loved Indian herb Aniseed.
NV Distilleries & Breweries Pvt. Ltd, which owns the Smoke brand of vodka, is diversifying into premium gin, and is planning to add premium brown spirits to its Smoke Lab portfolio over the next two years.There are over 1000 Polish vodka brands today, but the import with Russian roots, Smirnoff, is among the best-selling because many Poles consider it to be more premium. Both Poland and Russia were distilling high-quality vodka during World War II, but almost all of it was consumed in the country where it was produced.
