Indulge in the purity and elegance of Severo Plata Tequila, a premium spirit that embodies the essence of Mexico's tequila-making tradition. Crafted with care and precision from the finest blue agave plants, this tequila is a testament to the artistry and expertise of its master distillers.

Severo Plata Tequila begins with hand-selected blue agave plants, harvested at peak ripeness to ensure optimal flavor and quality. The agave hearts, known as piñas, are slowly roasted in traditional brick ovens, allowing their natural sugars to caramelize and develop complexity. After fermentation, the agave juice is double-distilled in copper pot stills to achieve exceptional purity and clarity.

The result is a tequila of unparalleled smoothness and elegance, with a crisp and clean flavor profile that captivates the palate. On the nose, Severo Plata Tequila delights with aromas of fresh agave, citrus, and subtle floral notes, inviting you to savor its purity.

On the palate, this tequila dazzles with its smooth and silky texture, enveloping the tongue in layers of flavor. Notes of sweet agave, lime zest, and hints of peppery spice dance across the palate, culminating in a refreshing and satisfying finish.

Severo Plata Tequila is perfect for sipping neat or as the foundation for your favorite cocktails. Whether enjoyed on its own or mixed into margaritas, palomas, or other tequila-based drinks, it promises an exceptional drinking experience that celebrates the rich heritage and tradition of Mexican tequila. Distillery Information

Distiller Pro. Tequilera Don Roberto is credited with being one of the oldest distilleries to continuously remain in operation within the same family in Mexico. The Plata is made from 100% Blue Weber agave and was aged in stainless steel for 6 months, then clarified. It is bottled at 40% ABV.The first distillation process takes place in steel distillation columns, during which water is removed and alcohol is concentrated from fermented agave juice. The second distillation takes place in stills to obtain tequila with a range of 55-65% alcohol, depending on the brand.
Blanco tequila, also known as 'silver' or 'plata', is most usually colourless transparent tequila but not necessarily so as these 'unaged' tequilas may be aged in oak or Holm oak for up to 60 days. Although blanco tequilas are usually unaged, they are often rested in stainless-steel tanks to allow oxidisation.
The world's first single-estate, single-field tequila is made using traditional, sustainable, additive-free methods that celebrate the terroir of our Jalisco highlands home. From the finest, overripe agaves comes the finest quality tequila from the Highlands of Jalisco.
Tequila is typically distilled twice. The first distillation produces a cloudy liquid called the ordinario. The second distillation produces the clear silver tequila, which is then ready to be aged and bottled. The home of El Tequileño is the historic 'La Guarreña” distillery located in the magical town of Tequila. El Tequileño is exclusively made here and this has not changed since it was founded by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo in 1959.
