Distillery Information

Made from organic winter wheat and barley, Purity Vodka comes to life in a handcrafted copper and gold still where each blend yields only a small batch, which is never rushed, as to not compromise quality.Overall neutral, this vodka, made from winter wheat and barley, is tinged with almond sweetness and lemon-pepper astringency. Each sip warms all the way down. It was distilled 34 times.
Vodka goes through a column distillation process. This concept arrived in the 19th century when commercial distillers needed a faster method than pot distilling, which required cleaning after every batch. Column distilling involves large columns where mash/wash is constantly injected, and the steam rises to meet it.
Some distillers believe that the more times vodka is distilled, the purer and smoother it will be. This is because during the distillation process, impurities like methanol and other fusel oils are removed. Vodka that has been distilled more times will have a higher purity and therefore be smoother to drink.
Distillation is the process of purifying a liquid by heating it until it vaporizes and then condensing the vapor back into a liquid. In vodka production, distillation is used to remove impurities and create a neutral spirit that is then blended with water to produce the final product.Distilling alcohol uses high temperatures - generally around 200 degrees Fahrenheit. High temperatures mean opportunities for accidents, so make sure that everyone who is in your distilling environment is aware of how hot your equipment will get.
