Distillery Information

Product description. Our delle Venezie Pinot Grigio hails from Italy with vineyards nestled under the Italian Alps. This wine is light and refreshing with layers of citrus, tropical fruit and a delightful minerality, a hallmark of Italian Pinot Grigio.
The Pinot Grigio we are all accustomed to tends to exhibit white peach notes, slight citrus tings and a hint of pear. An element of perfume and light spice round off what is a light, easy-sipping white, while you may also experience additional flavours of honeysuckle, green apple or even grapefruit.
Prophecy Pinot Noir showcases the best of California. Upon the first swirl, this Pinot Noir delights the senses with a bouquet of toasted oak and ripe raspberry.
Pinot Gris is known as Pinot Grigio in Italy. The grape first arrived in Switzerland in the 14th Century. It was planted extensively by the Cistercian monks in Hungary and in Italy by 1375. The grape skins are not white.
It's actually pink-ish gray in color, which is where 'gris' comes from (it means gray in French). Across the border in Italy, the grape is called 'grigio' because grigio means gray in Italian. Gray in different languages aside, the grape is the same, but the wines are very different.
Northeastern Italy (Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino-Alto Adige) is the Pinot Grigio producing heartland. The region exports vast quantities of the wine each year, mostly to the United Kingdom and USA. However, it should be noted that there are also plenty of examples of premium wines.
