Plantation White is a sharp, tasty white rum made by mixing a distillate made in Jamaica, Trinidad and Barbados. Rums from Trinidad are aged for 2-3 years, rum from Barbados is a young rum. The trio of blends is complemented by the oldest rum from Jamaica.
Plantation 3 Stars White Rum combines rums from Barbados (Twin Column and Pot Still, both unaged), Trinidad (Column Still, aged 2-3yr), Jamaica (Pot Still, aged 10yrs). Plantation Rum is a French-owned rum producer.
Delicate scents of brown sugar, honey, coffee bean; later whiffs following further aeration encounter baking spices: vanilla, and cloves. Palate : Entry is biscuity, yet is bittersweet and light-bodied. Midpalate features round, supple flavors of dark chocolate, root beer, egg cream. It is impossible to talk about Plantation Rum or Alexandre Gabriel, the brand's founder and Master Blender, without first discussing his parent company Maison Ferrand, and their flagship brand Ferrand Cognac.Plantation 3 Star Rum is a blend of rums from the '3 Stars of the Caribbean'(Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad). These rums have been expertly blended by the the Cognac Ferrand Cellar Master.
Our Rum rests in American Oak bourbon barrels for 4,5 years in Barbados, in a part of the distillery known as the 'no man's land'. This rarely visited part of the distillery, out of the pathway is a secret place only known by the master distiller and the master blender since the distillery's creation.
Plantation 3 Stars is a crisp, tasty white rum made by blending spirit produced in Jamaica, Trinidad and Barbados. Some of the rums in the blend are aged, though their colour is removed via a process of carbon filtration.
Plantation three-star is superb in cocktails, smooth enough to be a great mixer, but, with an assertiveness and depth of flavor that takes it beyond standard white rum offerings (e.g., Bacardi).
