The blue agave plant is the hero in the making of patron tequila. The fruit of this plant, piña, is fermented to make tequila. This process takes about 8-10 years for the fruit to reach the perfect ripeness. So, due to the long years and efforts, Patron tequila is not your regular spirit but a premium liquor.
