Gin initially comes from a grain base, usually wheat or barley, before producers add botanicals and water. Spirits must have a predominant flavor of juniper berries to be categorized as a gin. In addition to the grain and juniper berries, producers add botanicals, herbs, and spices to give it a distinctive flavor.Whichever, as soon as maceration is deemed to be completed, the mixture is distilled in a pot still, producing a spirit full of the aromas and flavours of the botanicals. Water is added to reduce the gin distillate to bottling strength.
Gin is an alcoholic beverage obtained by distillation from a base of grain (wheat or barley). In a further procedure, botanicals along with water are added until the desired flavors are met. To be called a gin, the spirit must have a predominant flavor of juniper berries. The primary three ingredients used in the majority of gins are juniper, coriander and angelica.
