The Noble Oak Whiskey Company is a collaboration with Edrington of Scotland. Noble Oak is finished & bottled in Newtown Ohio at our Distillery.
Rye whiskey was historically the prevalent whiskey in the northeastern states, especially Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland.
Experts say it's superb, aromatic and pleasing, but we think they are forgetting a couple of adjectives: exciting, and a bit exotic. Noble Oak Double Oak Bourbon Whiskey guided tasting: Brad Japhe takes us on a tasting adventure through the Whiskeyverse of Advent Calendar 2021. Notes of honey and ripe cherries.
Double Oaked is the same bourbon, given a second maturation, or finish, in barrels that have been toasted twice as long, but charred much more lightly than the other casks, for an additional 9 months. A package redesign was introduced in late 2016, featuring a shorter and wider bottle.
NobleOak traces its roots back to one of the first benevolent societies in Australia. These societies originated with a truly noble purpose – to help families when life threw its worst at them. Members of the community each contributed a small weekly amount to a communal 'fund'.
