Meiomi was born from Belle Glos, a single-vineyard Pinot Noir label owned by Wagner and named for his grandmother, Lorna Belle Glos. Wagner was so impressed with the quality of the wine that he sought to expand the family's Pinot Noir offerings, and Meiomi was born.Meiomi produces a small collection of wines, sourced from multiple AVAs (American Viticultural Area) throughout California, in particular Sonoma County, Monterey County and Santa Barbara County. The name Meiomi means "coast" in the language of the Wappo and Yuki peoples indigenous to the region.
Chardonnay originated in the Burgundy region of France, and takes its name from a small town in the Maconnais, an area in southern Burgundy that makes relatively inexpensive, high-value chardonnays.Meiomi® Pinot Noir brings you structure and depth seldom seen in a Pinot Noir wine, thanks to its unique and meticulous aging process.
