Made at Destiladora del Valle de Tequila- NOM 1438 in the lowlands (El Valle) region of Tequila, Jalisco. The distillery is known as “Casa Maestri” and is one of the most productive. Pedro Quintanilla, the founder of Los Azulejos, is a Tequila connoisseur.Los Azulejos Tequila Reposado is produced in Jalisco, the heart of tequila country. This is the one year aged expression of this particular line. The others being Blanco, and Anejo and Extra Anejo. Distilled in stainless steel stills, a bright taste Lowland tequila.
The journey of blanco tequila begins in the sun-drenched fields of the Jalisco highlands and lowlands in Mexico, where the blue agave plant – tequila's sole botanical constituent – grows for between 6 to 10 years before reaching maturation.
Pedro passed away in 2018, but his legacy lives on through the brand that he created. Today, Azulejos is managed by Pedro's wife Linda and their son Chris, as well as long time business parter Alfredo, who have kept his vision alive.
Tequila is made from harvested blue agave. Then, it's cooked (we use a water-steaming process) and fermented into alcohol. The liquid is distilled twice to purify the alcohol and make it drinkable. Once this distillation process is finished—that's it—it's officially blanco tequila. It is made from the blue agave plant, which is grown in the Jalisco region of Mexico. A favorite among lagosians, the brand offers a range of tequilas, including Blanco, Reposado, and Anejo. With its popularity, Azul tequila has become a target for counterfeiters.Clase Azul's range of tequilas and mezcals are made from quality agave plants found throughout Mexico. Made with Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco and rare agave species found in the mountains, each of Clase's spirits is meant to showcase the characteristics of the country.
