Layer Cake Rosé is a dessert wine with aromas of grapefruit, roses, and passion fruit. It has a bone dry finish with flavors of guava, crushed loquat, strawberries, pink grapefruit zest, and rhubarb. Some say it's a perfectly pale pink color, reminiscent of rose gold.
Layer Cake Rosé pairs well with desserts like cake or gelato. Rosé wine also goes well with chocolate desserts, such as cake, truffles, or mousse.
Rosé wine should be chilled and served at approximately 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. You can place rosé directly into the refrigerator after purchasing it, and chill for at least several hours before serving.

Distillery Information

Layer Cake Rosé is a pale pink wine from Central Coast, California. The winemaker, Nancy Walker, has been in the wine business for over 30 years.
To make Layer Cake Rosé, grapes are selected from California vineyards with high acidity levels. The grapes are left to rest until the juice takes on color. The grapes are then handpicked, separated, and fermented with care, and aged in French Oak.
Rosé wines are made from a combination of red and white grapes, and typically have a pH range of 2.9 to 3.4. This range allows for a balanced acidity that complements the fruity and floral characteristics of rosé wines.
