Distillery Information

Lagavulin distillery is a malt whisky distillery in the village of Lagavulin on the south of the island of Islay, Scotland. It distills spirit that will become Islay single malt Scotch whisky. Lagavulin is owned by Diageo, a multinational beverage alcohol company headquartered in London.
By combining these three passions, a most delectable and exceptional whisky is born. We hereby present to you the brand newly launched 3rd edition in the very successful and strongly limited Lagavulin Offerman Series: the "Charred Oak Cask".
But as it turns out, unlike Swanson's woodworking skills, the character's love of Lagavulin 16 wasn't initially chosen because of the actor; it was because it was the favorite scotch of Parks & Rec creator Michael Schur. It was, however, serendipitous, as it was already Offerman's favorite beverage from Scotland. In the lore of Parks and Rec, Swanson ends up visiting and later owning the Lagavulin distillery, and from that marketing equivalent of an Open Goal comes the 'Lagavulin Offerman Edition, 11-Year-Old Charred Oak Cask'.Crafted for over 200 years in the rugged Hebridean Isles, Lagavulin is the definitive Islay malt—intensely flavoured, smoky and rich.
Aged for sixteen years and finished in sherry casks, this limited edition whisky is one of the boldest and most intense whiskies ever made. Enter your e-mail to be notified when this item is back in stock.
Lagavulin uses the double distillation method. The wash is transferred into one of the 11,000 liter wash still where it is very slowly distilled. These wash stills are filled to 95% capacity which gives less contact between the alcohol vapors and the copper sides of the still.
