Distillery Information

The Johnnie Walker Blue Label is crafted using only rare casks from the Highland and Speyside distilleries – including smooth Cardhu and Clynelish, warm Benrinnes as well as Islay malts for some added smoke.
Johnnie Walker Princes Street is situated at the west end of Princes St in Edinburgh, a ten minute walk from Haymarket Train Station. Local buses and the tram from Edinburgh Airport stop regularly nearby on Shandwick Place, in view of the building.Created from hand-selected casks of some of the rarest and most exceptional whiskies, there is no sensory experience quite like Johnnie Walker Blue Label. Hazelnuts, honey, sherry and oranges tumble in first, before releasing hidden secrets like ginger, kumquats, sandalwood and dark chocolate.
Johnnie Walker had retained a link to its 'home' town by being bottled in Kilmarnock, but Walker's bottling plant there closed in 2012, with production switched to Diageo's bottling facilities at Leven in Fife and Shieldhall in Glasgow.
Johnnie Walker Black Label, a 12-year-old blend of whiskies from more than 29 distilleries, is regarded as the ultimate deluxe Scotch. The award-winning range, overseen by Master Blender Dr Emma Walker, also includes Johnnie Walker Red Label, Double Black, Green Label, Gold Label Reserve, Aged 18 Years and Blue Label.
In 1893, Cardhu distillery was purchased by the Walkers to reinforce the stocks of one of the Johnnie Walker blends' key malt whiskies. This move took the Cardhu single malt out of the market and made it the exclusive preserve of the Walkers.
