The Heaven's Door brand has new distillery in Pleasureville, Kentucky. Located on over 160 acres of rolling hills astride Six Mile Creek, the picturesque property was once owned by Squire Boone, the brother of legendary frontiersman Daniel Boone.
Co-created by Minnesota's own Bob Dylan, Heaven's Door Straight Bourbon Whiskey is distilled and aged in Tennessee, for a minimum of 6 years in new American oak barrels.
Heaven's Door is the fruition of two well-known mavens in the whiskey industry: Marc Bushala, former founder of Angel's Envy Bourbon and current founder of Spirits Investment Partners (SIP), and Ryan Perry, a whiskey developer at Diageo.Placing our already-aged 6-year whiskey in an alligator charred, new American oak, deepens the color and fills our whiskey with flavors of dark toasted vanilla. The finished product came out so smooth we increased the bottling proof to 100.
Distilled and aged its entire life in Tennessee, this whiskey is non-chill filtered to preserve its mature flavors.
I spent a good deal of my life up at the Clermont, KY distillery–For a time, I even lived in a house right there on the grounds. This land has been home to Jim Beam spirits for nearly a hundred years.
