Distillery Information

Reposado means “rested” (or literally, “restful”) in Spanish, and reposado tequila rests anywhere from two months to a year before they're put in a bottle. Reposados take on the gold or straw yellow hue from the barrels in which they are aged, which are typically oak or white oak barrels.
Tequila reposado is aged 2 to 12 months in oak barrels (reposado means “rested” in Spanish). It has a smooth flavor and notes of oak, vanilla, and caramel. Tequila añejo is aged 1 to 4 years in oak barrels (añejo means “old” or “vintage” in Spanish).Aged in oak barrels for a period of two months to one year, Reposado tequila develops a light golden hue and a smoother taste with a subtle oak influence. The aging process imparts a delicate complexity to the spirit, making it suitable for both sipping and mixing in cocktails.Reposado – Tequila aged between 2-12 months in oak barrels. Joven – A mixture of Blanco and Reposado tequilas. Añejo – Tequilas aged between 1-3 years in oak barrels. Extra Añejo is aged 3 years or more.In a way, Reposado is a bit like the Goldilocks of tequila—just the right balance of aging to bring out some awesome flavors without going overboard. It's the sweet spot for people who want more than a Blanco but not as much oakiness as an Añejo.
