Distillery Information

In 1993, Ezra Brooks was purchased by Luxco of St. Louis, Missouri (formerly the David Sherman Company, renamed in 2006). Ezra Brooks is distilled at Luxco's Lux Row Distillers in "bourbon county" Bardstown, Kentucky, along with Luxco's other whiskey brands Rebel Yell , David Nicholson, and Blood Oath.
Born and bred in Kentucky, Ezra Brooks has been filling glasses with genuine American bourbon since 1957. In 2018, it found a new home in Bardstown, aka the Bourbon Capital of the World.
Location – Bourbon can be made anywhere in the US. Only whiskey produced in the State of Kentucky can be called labeled Kentucky Straight Whiskey.
Distilling started here in 1755 though the oldest remaining building on the site dates back to 1792. It claims to be the oldest continuously-operating distillery in the USA, and it remained open during Prohibition as it was allowed to make that popular product known as 'medicinal whiskey'.
