Introducing Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 10-Year Rum – a masterpiece born from a decade-long journey through carefully selected American oak barrels and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This exceptional rum represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship, marrying the artistry of the Caribbean with the sophistication of Spanish traditions.

The journey begins in the Caribbean, where a meticulous blend of aged rums, each spending five years maturing in American oak barrels, forms the foundation of Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5. This initial aging imparts a rich complexity, laying the groundwork for what will become an extraordinary rum.

The next phase takes place in Spain, where the rum embarks on a second leg of its journey. Transferred to sherry casks that once held Pedro Ximénez, the spirit undergoes an additional five years of maturation. This unique dual aging process creates a symphony of flavors, with the influence of the sherry casks imparting deep, sweet undertones and a velvety texture.

Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 10-Year Rum presents a luscious amber hue that hints at the indulgent experience within. On the nose, discover a captivating fusion of dried fruits, rich caramel, and a subtle touch of oak. The palate is a celebration of complexity, offering layers of sweetness from the sherry casks, complemented by notes of vanilla, toffee, and a hint of chocolate.

The finish is long and luxurious, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and sophistication. Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 10-Year Rum is not merely a drink; it's a celebration of time, tradition, and the artistry of blending. Indulge in this exquisite rum, sip by sip, and let the decadence of a decade-long aging process unfold on your palate. Distillery Information

Dos Maderas, meaning "Two Woods", is a combination of Guyanese and Bajon rums aged in New American Oak barrels in their respective production countries. After five years, the rums journey across the Atlantic Ocean to Jerez, where they are blended together.
After five to six days in fermentation, the resulting “wash” is transferred to our 500-gal pot still, where the liquid is heated to separate the alcohols. The still converts the alcohols to vapor form and then returns it to liquid through a condenser. It includes both the light-bodied rums, typified by those of Cuba and Puerto Rico, and the heavier and fuller-flavoured rums of Jamaica. Rums originated in the West Indies and are first mentioned in records from Barbados in about 1650.
Dos Maderas, meaning “two woods”, is a World Class, critically acclaimed double cask rum that is the fusion of two rums, two types of casks, and three cultures.
Rum is a liquor made by fermenting and then distilling sugarcane molasses or sugarcane juice. The distillate, a clear liquid, is often aged in barrels of oak.
Typically made from molasses, Cuban distilleries make Spanish-style rum dry and aged for at least two years in oak barrels before being charcoal filtered for its clear color. The result is a light rum perfect for daiquiris.
