Distillery Information

Brandy is usually produced in pot stills (batch distillation), but the column still can also be used for continuous distillation. The distillate obtained in this manner has a higher alcohol concentration (approximately 90% ABV) and is less aromatic.
This brandy is made with selected reserves and aged in oak barrels by the traditional 'Jerezano' process. With its rich taste and complex flavors of raisins, oak and caramel, Brandy Don Pedro is ideal when served on the rocks with a fine Cuban cigar.
The term 'brandy' therefore can be very broad but in general it refers to a spirit made from grapes. It is common throughout history that where wineries and orchards grow, brandy follows. Arguably two of the most famous brandies in the world are Cognac and Armagnac.
Brandy is a distillation of fermented mash of fruit or fermented fruit juices, distilled at less than 190 proof, and bottled at no less than 80 proof. Grapes are used to produce wines and brandy to a greater extent than any other fruit, primarily because of the high sugar content.
