The sugarcane is harvested, fermented and distilled into rum, before being aged in a range of bourbon, port and sherry casks. They are then masterfully blending by the hands of Tito Cordero, Diplomático's maestro ronero.

Made through an assembly of rum distilled in column still and pot still, it is aged for 8 years in white oak barrels that previously contained bourbon or whiskey.
Mantuano is an excellent blended rum aged for up to eight years in white oak casks, which previously served to age bourbons and malt-whisky.
Mantuano is the replacement for Diplomatico's Reserva rum. 'Mantuano', meaning 'nobleman', reflects Don Juancho's status and his passion for travel and the discovery of new spirits, mainly rums. Don Juancho is present on each of Diplomatico's rums.
The Cathedral of Rum in Cataño, Puerto Rico is the world's largest rum distillery. The Bacardi Distillery is located on 137 acres and consists of forty-four buildings and structures, twenty-four of which contribute to its historical character.
Aged for up to eight years, Mantuano is a blend of Column, Batch Kettle and Pot Still rums and made from molasses and sugar cane honeys. It is fantastic when mixed in cocktails, or sipped neat.
