The Dictador distillery is located in Cartagena de Indias on the Caribbean Sea in Colombia. Dictador rum is produced from sugar cane honey as opposed to molasses.
Dictador 12 Years Solera System Rum (40% ABV) is made from the fermentation of virgin sugar cane honey, distilled partly in copper alembic and partly in steel continuous and then aged in pre-used oak barrels.Dictador rum leans towards the sweeter side on the nose, with scents reminiscent of caramel, almost chocolatey, and because of this, fits perfectly in cocktails such as Rum Old Fashioned or even for a Junglebird.Dictador has been producing quality aged rum since 1913.
