De Luze Extra Cognac is a blend of eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne distilled at Domaine Boinaud. Tasting age is 35 years and more in a beautiful decanter bottle.

An cognac is the result of a blend different eaux-de-vie, sometimes more than a hundred. Its age is determined by the youngest of the eaux-de-vie used into its composition.Aging. It is typically put into casks at an alcohol by volume strength around 70%.
Some cognac houses are now bottling cognac from a single distillery but this is still a blend of many different vineyards and ages of eaux-de-vie even though they have all been distilled at the same site. Typically cognacs are blended from numerous vintages across many different vineyards and crus.
Cognac distillation is performed in a two-stage process, with a specific Charentais copper still, with its pot (or boiler), its swan's necks ans its cooler and its condensing coil. The white wine, harvested in the Controlled Appellation Area, is introduced in the pot and brought to the boiling point.
