Indulge in the rich and complex flavors of Chamucos Reposado Tequila, a true testament to the artistry and tradition of Mexican distillation. Crafted with care and aged to perfection, this exquisite tequila captures the essence of Jalisco's agave fields and the spirit of Chamucos.

Chamucos Reposado Tequila begins its journey with hand-selected blue agave plants, harvested at peak ripeness from the sun-kissed fields of Jalisco, Mexico. The heart of the agave, known as the piña, is slow-roasted in traditional stone ovens, unlocking the plant's natural sugars and imparting a depth of flavor.

After fermentation, the agave juice is double-distilled in copper pot stills by skilled artisans, resulting in a spirit of exceptional quality and purity. The tequila is then aged in American oak barrels for a minimum of six months, allowing it to mellow and develop its distinctive character.

Upon maturation, Chamucos Reposado Tequila emerges with a golden hue and a rich, complex aroma. Notes of caramel, vanilla, and oak mingle with hints of cooked agave and subtle spice, creating a sensory experience that is both enticing and inviting.

On the palate, Chamucos Reposado Tequila delights with its smooth and velvety texture. Flavors of butterscotch, toasted almonds, and ripe fruits dance across the tongue, balanced by a gentle warmth that lingers on the finish.

Perfect for sipping neat or crafting premium cocktails, Chamucos Reposado Tequila is a versatile and sophisticated spirit that embodies the essence of Mexican craftsmanship. Whether enjoyed on its own or mixed into your favorite libations, every sip of Chamucos Reposado Tequila is a celebration of tradition, flavor, and the spirit of Chamucos.

Distillery Information

Chamucos which loosely translates as 'boogie man, is a 100% agave reposado tequila produced by Premium de Jalisco in Mazamitla in southern Jalisco.
Most Tequilas come from the state of Jalisco, where the actual town of Tequila, Mexico resides. For starters, in order for a spirit to be called “Tequila” it MUST come from one of five authorized states in Mexico: Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacan, Nayarit, or Tamaulipas. The first tequila distillery in the United States was opened in 1936 in Nogales, Arizona by Harry J. Karns, former Arizona state senator and Nogales Mayor. In a move to take ownership of the term "tequila", the Mexican government declared the term to be its intellectual property in 1974.
CasamigosActor George Clooney, entrepreneur Rande Gerber (husband to model Cindy Crawford), and entrepreneur Michael Meldman created three tequilas that are made from agave grown in Jalisco's Highlands. The first distillation process takes place in steel distillation columns, during which water is removed and alcohol is concentrated from fermented agave juice. The second distillation takes place in stills to obtain tequila with a range of 55-65% alcohol, depending on the brand.
In the local Nahuatl language, the word tequila means 'volcanic rock' or 'rock that cuts', a reference to the dormant volcano that shadows the town of Tequila. In the 17th century 'agave wines' produced in and around the town of Tequila started to gain notoriety for their quality.
