Bonterra Rosé blends organic sites throughout California, with much of the fruit hailing from Mendocino, including some of our own organically-farmed estate vineyards.
Framed by a layered core of Petite Sirah and Merlot, Equinox Red opens with complex aromas of plum, blueberry, blackcurrant and licorice on the nose. A subtle thread of dried herbs lends a savory backdrop to this medium-bodied red blend. A generous mid-palate culminates with ripe tannins and a lingering finish.
Every bottle of our wine is made with 100% organic grapes, creating harmony between innovation and tradition. Why organic? We believe that organic grapes produce the purest expressions of the varietals and land on which they are farmed, which is why we've been farming this way for over 30 years.
Bonterra Vineyards emerged in 1990, produced at the Fetzer winery, and first released 1992 as one of the early pioneers in growing organic winegrapes. Bonterra has become the number one selling brand of wines in the US that is made with organic grapes.
Bonterra paper products are made from 100% recycled paper, at least 80% of which is post-consumer materials. We use primarily recycled office papers, which are de-inked and broken down for a new life instead of being disposed of as solid waste having reached its intended end-use.
