Distillery Information

The Bisquit Dubouche brand was founded in 1819 by Alexandre Bisquit, a wine merchant based in the Cognac region of France. Bisquit's son, Adrien, expanded the business by producing cognac, and the brand soon became known for its exceptional quality and refinement.
Milan, December 20th, 2017-Campari Group announced today that it has signed an agreement to acquire Bisquit Dubouché et Cie. from South Africa based Distell Group. The company, owner of Bisquit Cognac, is a cognac producer located in the heart of the French city of Cognac.VSOP, “Very Superior Old Pale”, which is now common for all Cognac Houses actually dates back to 1817 British Royal Court. So, what does VSOP stand for exactly? For a cognac to be classified as a VSOP, the minimum age of the youngest eaux-de-vie in the blend must be at least 4 years old.Cognac can only be made from grapes grown in the strictly defined Cognac region of France. It must be made from the juice of at least one of three particular grapes, the most common being Ugni Blanc and the other two being Folle Blanche and Colombard.
