This process means hard seltzer somewhat surprisingly falls into the beer category as a “flavored malt beverage,” rather than into a pre-mix category.Making hard seltzer at home is as easy as brewing your own beer or making homemade wine, mead or cider. All you need is the necessary equipment, the required ingredients (or a spiked seltzer recipe kit), step-by-step instructions, and either plastic bottles or a way to keg your seltzer homebrew.
At its most basic level, hard seltzer is seltzer with alcohol in it.
