Ardbeg Wee Beastie is a youthful yet complex whisky that dares to defy convention. Its distinctive character is forged through maturation in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, resulting in a symphony of flavors that captivate the senses.

With a nose that teases with notes of dark chocolate, smoked bacon, and an intriguing hint of tar, each sip of Ardbeg Wee Beastie takes you on an exhilarating journey. On the palate, experience an explosion of peat smoke, accompanied by bursts of aniseed and cloves, balanced with a luscious sweetness reminiscent of vanilla and butterscotch.

This remarkable whisky culminates in a finish that lingers, leaving behind a warming sensation of espresso and a touch of brine. Ardbeg Wee Beastie is a testament to the mastery of the distillers at Ardbeg, capturing the essence of Islay's rugged landscape in every drop.

Whether savored neat, on the rocks, or as the foundation for your favorite cocktail, Ardbeg Wee Beastie promises an unforgettable tasting experience that will leave you yearning for more. Embrace the beast within and indulge in the untamed spirit of Ardbeg Wee Beastie.

Rich golden amber hue, reminiscent of the glowing embers of a bonfire at dusk.

A powerful and enticing aroma, with waves of peat smoke enveloping the senses like a warm embrace. Notes of dark chocolate and smoked bacon emerge, accompanied by a subtle hint of brine and a touch of earthy tar.

The first sip unleashes a burst of intense peat smoke, reminiscent of a roaring bonfire on a windswept beach. Layers of flavor unfold, revealing hints of black pepper, aniseed, and cloves, adding depth and complexity to the whisky. A subtle sweetness emerges, with flavors of vanilla and butterscotch intertwining with the smoky backdrop.

The finish is long and lingering, with the warmth of espresso and a gentle touch of sea salt lingering on the palate. As the flavors gradually fade, a sense of satisfaction remains, inviting another sip to experience the untamed spirit of Ardbeg Wee Beastie once again.

Distilled on the remote Scottish island of Islay for more than 200 years, Ardbeg is revered around the globe as among the peatiest and smokiest, yet most complex, of all the Islay single malt whiskies.
A cask of Ardbeg Islay single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 1975 has been bought by a private collector in Asia for £16 million — more than twice what the distillery's owner, The Glenmorangie Company, paid for the entire distillery and all its stocks in 1997.
Ardbeg Ten Years Old is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance.
American distiller, Schenley, bought into the distillery in the 1960s, buying it outright in 1967. By the time Bessie retired in 1972, the number of stills had been increased to seven. A period of passing through various hands and amalgamations ended when Jim Beam purchased it from Allied Distillers in 2005.
Ardbeg uses the most phenolic malt in the business (i.e. the smokiest). The malt is peated to a level of 50ppm. There have been no floor maltings at Ardbeg since 1981 so all the malt that is used in production hails from the maltings in the village of Port Ellen.
