Seven years later in 2017, O'Neill and Resnick's gourmet candy company Sugarfina made $40 million in revenue. Now, it shows no signs of stopping its reign as the luxury sweets brand that adults love eating and gifting.
Nothing like that existed in the United States, so we had the crazy idea to create it ourselves,” O'Neill remembers. There's Mars Inc., which has Snickers, M&Ms, and Twix in its brand portfolio. Mondelez MDLZ owns Sour Patch Kids, while Tootsie Roll Industries TR has Tootsie Rolls, Blow Pop, and Junior Mints.
