Petersburg. At the production exclusively valuable winter wheat from the heart of Russia and the soft, pure glacier water of northern Russia is used. According to its unique formula of 1894 it is distilled 8-foldly, filtered repeatedly and refined with a crystal quartz filtration since 2004.Winter grain from Russian steppes is milled and fermented. The spirits are blended with water from Lake Ladoga. The proximity of Lake Ladoga was one of the main reasons for the company's decision to establish its distillery in Saint Petersburg.
Physically, vodka is composed of ethyl alcohol (fermented grain, rye, wheat, potatoes, or sugar beet molasses) and water. Typically, the alcoholic content per serving is between 35-50%; the standard Russian, Lithuanian, and Polish vodkas, however, are more exactly around 40% (80 proof).
The production process includes four principal stages-mashing and fermenting, distillation and rectification, filtration and relaxation, and bottling and packaging. Russian Standard vodka is made from wheat grown on the Russian steppes.
