Old Forester 1924 10-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky is a rare and special release commemorating a pivotal moment in history during Prohibition. While many distilleries were forced to shut down, Old Forester continued its operations with a medicinal license issued by the federal government (P-3). In 1924, Old Forester acquired barrels from closed distilleries, blending different mash bills to create this unique expression. This limited-edition bourbon is a tribute to that moment in time, offering a rich, complex flavor profile.
Nose: Aromas of caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, and a hint of dried fruit with a light dusting of baking spice. Palate: Rich, full-bodied flavors of toffee, caramel, and toasted nuts blend seamlessly with notes of oak and dark fruit. A slight spiciness enhances the complexity. Finish: A long, warming finish with a delicate balance of oak, vanilla, and a touch of honey sweetness.
