Ojo de Tigre Mezcal Joven Artesanal Tequila

The balance of Espada and Tobala agaves make this an incredibly balanced and extraordinarily smooth mezcal without any overpowering smokiness. Notes of green apple and citrus, followed by subtle hints of cooked agave, caramel, and smoked cocoa.

The agaves are cooked in an underground pit over, milled with a tahona, and double distilled in a copper alembique still. This mezcal is produced by Casa Ausencio León in Tlacolula De Matamoros, Oaxaca.
An artisanal mezcal made in Oaxaca. Lighter on the smoke than many, with more emphasis on earthy agave, bell pepper and a minty finish. Ojo de Tigre Mezcal is made by harvesting Tobala and Espadin, cooking them in an underground pit oven.
Artesanal mezcal must be cooked in earthen pits or clay ovens, milled by hand but can be mechanically milled, fermented in stone or organic pits, and finally distilled with direct fire under copper or clay pots.
