Misionero Extra Anejo 13 Year Tequila

Appearance: Misionero Extra Añejo 13-Year Tequila presents a deep amber hue, reminiscent of polished mahogany, inviting anticipation for the sensory journey ahead. Nose: Upon nosing, the bouquet unfolds with layers of complexity. Rich aromas of caramelized sugar, vanilla, and toasted oak dominate, accompanied by subtle hints of dried fruits and spice. Luxurious notes of caramel, toffee, and dark chocolate mingle harmoniously, complemented by the warmth of oak and a touch of cinnamon. The agave is stripped to reveal the heart of the plant, the 'piña', which is then hand-chopped, baked and crushed by a two-ton volcanic stone Tahona wheel and a roller mill. The resulting mixture is fermented for three days, distilled and, in some cases, aged in handmade barrels.
Añejo refers to tequila that has been aged in oak barrels anywhere from one to three years. PATRÓN AÑEJO is carefully distilled and then aged for over 12 months in a combination of French oak, Hungarian oak and used American whiskey barrels to create our ultra-premium tequila.
Tequila is a distilled spirit made from the Weber blue agave plant that grows in Mexico. The blue agave plant has huge spikes that come up from a central core that is called the pina. After the leaves are removed, the pina is the part of the plant that is used to make tequila.
