Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Straight Rye uses the company's US*1 Rye as its base before undergoing an undisclosed amount of time in 20 month air-dried barrels made of “special wood” that were toasted but not charred.Michter's Fort Nelson Distillery is located at 801 W. Main St. in Louisville, Ky. Most of Michter's whiskey is made at its distillery in the Shively neighborhood of Louisville, which is not open to the public.
