The distillery, DGL Destiladores (Destiladora González Luxco), is located just outside the city of Arandas, in the highlands of Jalisco – a prime location for the superior agave used in these premium tequilas.

Tequila is a distilled spirit made from the cooked and fermented juice of the agave (pronounced 'Uh-Gah-Vee'), a spiky Mexican plant which resembles a cactus. Traditionally the process is labour intensive and artisanal – and many tequila distilleries still operate this way.
The journey of blanco tequila begins in the sun-drenched fields of the Jalisco highlands and lowlands in Mexico, where the blue agave plant – tequila's sole botanical constituent – grows for between 6 to 10 years before reaching maturation.
After fermentation, we double distill the agave mixture in copper-lined pots to extract only the richest parts of the spirit and preserve its natural flavor. Some of the finished product is then bottled to become our Blanco expression, while the rest is moved into oak barrels for aging.
And our unaged, 100% Blue Agave tequila delivers with a crisp, light body, a hint of pepper and a bevy of accolades to match. Color: Clear and bright. Nose: Clean, floral and spice undertone. Mouth: Clean and crisp with full agave flavor, hints of floral and pepper.Tequila is made from harvested blue agave. Then, it's cooked (we use a water-steaming process) and fermented into alcohol. The liquid is distilled twice to purify the alcohol and make it drinkable. Once this distillation process is finished—that's it—it's officially blanco tequila.
