Moore Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Chardonnay Casks has a rich taste, with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, and buttery oak. This whiskey is 97.9 proof. In 1889, Thomas S. Moore built the Distillery known today as Barton 1792 Distillery.
The Thomas S. Moore bourbons are a product of Barton 1792 Distillery, which is one of the oldest distilleries in Kentucky. Moore built the distillery in 1879 and is the namesake for this series of whiskeys finished in various wine casks.

Thomas Moore, (born May 28, 1779, Dublin, Ire. —died Feb. 25, 1852, Wiltshire, Eng.), Irish poet, satirist, composer, and political propagandist. He was a close friend of Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley.
An especially prominent variation is the labeling "Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey", used to indicate a straight whiskey made in Kentucky from a mash of at least 51% corn grain. For a straight whiskey to be called corn whiskey, it must use a mash with at least 80% corn and be aged in used or uncharred barrels.
