Ole Smoky Salted Caramel Whiskey is made at the Ole Smoky distillery in the mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It was awarded silver in the flavored whiskey category at both the Denver International Spirits Competition and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Jack Daniel's and George Dickel received their licenses before Prohibition, and Benjamin Prichard's opened their Tennessee facility in 1997. In February 2022, Apax Partners, a global private equity firm, acquired a majority stake in Ole Smoky.
Ole Smoky Salted Caramel Whiskey is made at the Ole Smoky distillery in the mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It was awarded silver in the flavored whiskey category at both the Denver International Spirits Competition and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Both Ole Smoky's moonshine and whiskey are comprised of a (mostly) corn mash bill consisting of 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley.
