The new peated distillate from the GlenAllachie distillery. The Chinquapin One was matured in a mix of American oak ex-Bourbon barrels and Chinquapin virgin oak barrels; a favoured variety of oak for Master Distiller Billy Walker.
Built in 1897, the last of seven distilleries founded in Dufftown, Glendullan was the brainchild of blenders from Aberdeen by the name of William Williams and sons. With solid business acumen and a private railway siding, the Williams gave Glendullan a healthy start in life.
The earliest documented record of distilling in Scotland occurred in 1494 in the tax records of the day, the Exchequer Rolls. An entry lists “Eight bolls of malt to Friar John Cor wherewith to make aqua vitae.”

The Singleton of Glen Ord is based in the Scottish Highlands and is the only remaining single malt scotch whisky distillery on the Black Isle. The Singleton of Dufftown is distilled in the Dufftown distillery in Speyside, and has been since 1896.
