Magnus & Co. distillery revived Joseph Magnus Bourbon in 2015 after rediscovering a 122-year-old family heirloom. The bourbon combines 12-year-old MGP bourbon with triple-cask finishing, resulting in rich flavors like vanilla, citrus, dark chocolate, and dark stone fruits, with numerous awards to its name.Magnus Co. relocates to Holland, Michigan, and reconnects the brand to the legacy of Joseph A. Magnus, who spent many years overlooking Lake Michigan in Oden, Michigan.
Sourced 12-year-old bourbon from Indiana, this bourbon spend 6-12 months in our finishing casks - Oloroso Sherry, Pedro Ximenez and Cognac - to deliver rich, deep flavors with notes of orange citrus, dried dark fruits, caramel and vanilla.
Joseph A. Magnus and Co. are a producer operation now out of Michigan, but formerly of Washington, DC until October 2020 (hence why the location below is DC, not Michigan). For several years now, they've been sourcing high quality aged bourbon from MGP in Indiana.
Joseph Magnus Bourbon is a marriage of straight bourbon whiskey aged in white oak and finished in Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximénez and Cognac casks. Rich and deep notes of vanilla, citrus, dark chocolate, brown sugar and dark stone fruits deliver with a lingering, warm finish.
