Origins & Heritage

Founded in 2006 by biochemist David Perkins and his wife Jane, High West was Utah’s first legally licensed distillery since 1870.

After relocating to Park City in 2004, the couple began distilling in 2007 in a historic livery stable, now known as the High West Saloon.

The Saloon is recognized as the world’s first ski-in, ski-out gastro-distillery, located right at the base of a ski run.

Facilities & Expansion

The larger, modern distillery in Wanship, Utah, which produces their in-house bourbon, including the Bottled in Bond expression.
