The Martini Glass holds a volume of 8 oz (23.7 cL). One of the most recognizable cocktail glasses is the Martini Glass. This comes from its inverted cone bowl shape ideal for sipping drinks and alcohol with little or no mixers.

Although the V-shaped martini cocktail glass has fallen from grace in the modern cocktail scene, its iconic shape is still synonymous with cocktail culture. The cone-shaped bowl on a stem saw its original debut at the 1925 Paris Exhibition as a modernist take on the coupe.
Clemente Michel, Carlo Re, Carlo Agnelli and Eligio Baudino started the company in 1847, as a vermouth bottling plant in Pessione. A few years later Alessandro Martini joined the team, becoming the director in 1863 along with Teofilo Sola and Luigi Rossi (who was the inventor of a vermouth).
