Distilled in Kentucky and featuring a 78% corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye mashbill, this limited release from Four Gate sports a 10 year age statement and bottling at barrel proof.
Bourbon can be made anywhere in the US. Only whiskey produced in the State of Kentucky can be called labeled Kentucky Straight Whiskey.For a whiskey to be considered Bourbon, its mash – the mixture of grains from which the product is distilled – must contain at least 51% corn. The rest of the mash is usually filled out with rye or wheat, and malted barley.
