With a flavor reminiscent of the classic navy rums of the US Virgin Islands, Cruzan® Black Strap Rum introduces black strap molasses—an ingredient renowned for its robust flavor—to our signature aged dark rum. The result is a balanced, but rich spirit beloved by bartenders everywhere.
Black rum is the darkest in color, but has a light to medium body. It is made from molasses, the dark, sweet liquid left over after manufacturing crystallized sugar. These rums will embody the rich flavors and sometimes include added burnt caramel to darken the color.
