The Old Bushmills Distillery is an alcohol (primarily Irish whiskey) distillery in Bushmills, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, founded in 1784 and owned by Proximo Spirits.
It has over 400 years of history and heritage behind it, to become a world-class drink sought after by whiskey connoisseurs. The licence was first granted to make whiskey in Co. Antrim in 1608. But the Bushmills Distillery didn't become official until 1784.
Bushmills Original is the cornerstone of our family, a blend of our own triple distilled malt whiskey with a lighter Irish grain whiskey. It is a gentle whiskey with a rich, warming taste of fresh fruit, vanilla and honey.

Combining our pure single malt whiskey and a lighter grain whiskey, you'll notice its rich, smooth warming taste almost instantly, just as generations have done before. Bushmills Original Irish Whiskey is a smooth blend of their own triple distilled malt whiskey with a lighter Irish grain whiskey.
The blend is 45 % Single Malt Whiskey, using only Irish malted barley, and 55 % Grain Whiskey made from corn (maize). Next, the whiskey is matured for a minimum of 3 years with an average age of 4 years in a combination of Kentucky bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.
