Goldschläger is a distinctive and captivating cinnamon schnapps liqueur that stands out for its unique addition of real, edible 24-karat gold flakes. Encased in a clear, crystalline liquid, this premium liqueur presents a dazzling display of gold suspended within. The base spirit is typically high-proof neutral grain alcohol, providing a clean canvas for the infusion of bold cinnamon flavor.

Upon opening a bottle of Goldschläger, one is greeted with an immediate and inviting aroma of fiery cinnamon, setting the stage for the sensory experience that follows. The taste profile is characterized by a robust and warm cinnamon spice that tingles the palate, creating a harmonious balance between sweetness and heat.

The true allure of Goldschläger lies in its visual appeal, as the gold flakes dance and shimmer in the liquid, adding a touch of opulence to each pour. The edible gold flakes are safe for consumption, and while they contribute to the overall aesthetics of the drink, they are virtually tasteless.

Whether enjoyed as a sipping liqueur, a chilled shot, or as a creative addition to cocktails, Goldschläger offers a unique and memorable drinking experience that combines the warmth of cinnamon with a touch of luxurious visual elegance. It has become a symbol of indulgence and celebration, making it a popular choice for those seeking a distinctive and visually stunning liqueur.

Goldschläger is a cinnamon schnapps liqueur that is currently produced in Italy. The brand is owned by Sazerac.
Goldschläger was originally produced in Switzerland, but production moved to Italy in the 1990s after being acquired by Diageo. In 2008, Global Brands Limited purchased the brand and production returned to Switzerland.
Goldschläger is made by infusing Swiss grain alcohol with cinnamon and other spices, and then adding 24-karat gold leaf flakes. The gold flakes are for decoration and do not add any flavor or nutritional value. A 1-liter bottle of Goldschläger contains about 13 milligrams of gold.
