Aged in lightly toasted oak barrels for over two years. A golden hue and soft aroma accompany tastes of oak and light lasting sweetness that is pleasant to the pallet.
After five to six days in fermentation, the resulting “wash” is transferred to our 500-gal pot still, where the liquid is heated to separate the alcohols. The still converts the alcohols to vapor form and then returns it to liquid through a condenser.Rum is made through the fermentation and distillation of sugarcane or molasses. It is often produced in the Caribbean, though it can be made in any sugar-producing country such as North and South America, the Philippines or Taiwan. It is worth noting that the initial distillation from a fresh batch of molasses may only yield an ABV of around 30-35% ABV - too low to be called rum. Therefore a second distillation is required in order to attain the necessary ABV - typically between 75-90% ABV.
The word "rum" does not have a full form as it is a standalone word. It is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from sugarcane byproducts, such as molasses or sugarcane juice, that is fermented and then aged in oak barrels.Gold rum, also known as amber rum, usually provides rich and smooth flavors after being aged in barrels.
